These nights are dedicated to exploring new sounds, noises and new media via the subversion and conversion of the artist’s chosen instrument/s. There will also be a live drawing artist doing their thing on the night. The audience is welcome to respond via drawing, listening or relaxing as you absorb these avant-garde vibrations over a fabulous cocktail created by Kat!
$10 entry for performing artists

Second performance:
Matthew Syres - founding member of Sydney improvised experimental group Forenzics, has an eccentric and unusual approach to the guitar, using multiple effects, delays and looping to build complex improvised sonic textures informed by noise, post-rock, industrial and soundscape music.https://matthewsyres.bandcamp.com/
Third performance:
Holowell is a duo formed by vocalist Sonya Holowell and pianist/trumpeter Jonathan Holowell. Their improvised performances draw from their interests in contemporary classical, jazz and experimental genres, as well as visual art, and they find ways to blur the boundaries between these worlds, exploring vast sonic terrains.

I taught myself how to paint. I love creating colours. Colours feel natural in my hands. I use my hands a lot when I paint and there is no such thing as an accident.
Both my parents are Greek immigrants. I was born in Sydney. I grew up on the North Shore and I'm now living in Bayview.
I have lived on the island of Rhodes in Greece for 10 years collectively painting and exhibiting my work. I write poetry and prose.
