All Girl Electronic 2017
Are you a bedroom music producer? Do you want to experiment with synths, MIDI controllers and Ableton Live?
Be trained and mentored in music software, composition and arrangement, recording, production and performance by some of Sydney’s best producers. Following on from the success of the 2016 pilot, All Girl Electronic is back in 2017 with a fresh line-up of free workshops and special events for young women starting out in electronic music production.
Music Software and Experimentation Workshops (8 weeks)
Delve into Ableton Live and learn how to produce your own tracks including sampling, mixing, recording and beat making. The first of a series of 8-week workshops, Music Software and Experimentation covers composing, an intro into synthesisers and production basics. The perfect foundation for those starting out and an excellent chance for solo producers to begin collaborating.

WHO CAN APPLY
All Girl Electronic is for young women, aged 15-25, from Western Sydney who have an interest in electronic music production. No prior experience is necessary however if you do have a background in music we encourage you to detail this in your application.
Applications close midnight 7 August 2017.
We’ll be in touch by Friday 11 August 2017 to let you know the outcome of your application. Participants are expected to be available to attend all workshops.
FACILITATORS
Del Lumanta is a visual artist and musician from Sydney. She has exhibited in Sydney and Melbourne, with recent shows at 55 Sydenham Rd, Knulp and MOP Projects. She plays in experimental synthesizer duo Video Ezy and currently coordinates Double Vision, a series of free-form gigs showcasing the practice of DIY, sound and ‘other’ musicians at Verge Gallery.
Nicola Morton is an electronic music artist who uses DIY experimental processes in composition/performance. She holds a Bachelor of Music Technology from Queensland Conservatorium of Music. She has composed for gamelan and classical ensembles in Australia and Indonesia, and has spent the last 7 years focusing on analogue synthesizers and free improvisation touring throughout Europe, China and the USA with various performers, ensembles and groups. National Film and Sound Archive has collected her solo experimental electronic recordings released on Australian DIY labels: Breakdance the Dawn, Alberts Basement; and European labels Musica Dispersa and LF Records.

Hannah Lockwood is an audio engineer/electronic music producer from Sydney. Her live sets are a collision of noise and harmony centred on modular synthesizer exploitations. Through her solo projects, and as one half of Phile, Hannah has performed in support of artists including Dopplereffekt, Kangding Ray, Rdhd, Paula Temple, Efdemin, Dasha Rush, Rabih Beaini, Container, Xosar, Samuel Kerridge, Dino Sabatini, Imaginary Softwoods and Tin Man. Hannah co-founded the Deep Seeded collective in 2015, with the aim of showcasing the local live electronic artists and DJ’s who are actively breaking the boundaries of contemporary music.
