The Holy Soul are four people who can be encountered wandering the streets of the Inner West, and who sometimes get together in a room and play amazing music and record wonderful albums.
The Sydney band of choice for legendary figures such as Damo Suzuki, David Thomas [Pere Ubu] and Robyn Hitchcock, if you haven't seen them before, you must.

Sam writes:A few years ago The Holy Soul released Fortean Times, their third or fifth and a halfth LP, depending on how you count. 2SER sez: “part in tune with the classic and part in thrall to total abandon. It's a thrilling balance”. Since the album came out the band toured in Japan, did some shows with Todd Rundgren and Kid Congo & The Pink Monkey Birds, and released a 7" single with David Thomas.
The Holy Soul is now in the middle of a new album produced by Robyn Hitchcock,
which they're hoping to finish over the summer and release next year.
A lot of the conversation at band practices of late
has concerned dehydrated potato products.

Party Dozen are the astonishing duo of Jonathan Boulet on drums and Kirsty Tickle on sax. No adjectives are really adequate to describe how brilliant, electrifying and unique they are. A very old friend who has been booking the Paradiso in Amsterdam for years has never asked me about a band before - this year, he asked me about Party Dozen.

Party Dozen is a project loosely based around improvisation.
