180º is Nick Ashwood (acoustic guitar), Jim Denley (bass flute) and Amanda Stewart (voice and text). They have recorded in the studio twice over the last 6 months - soon to be released as a CD - but they have never as yet done a gig as the trio. So this will be their debut.
Laura Altman has been playing a series of solos lately, mainly in Western Australia, that involve her clarinet, and subtle, unpredictable feedback between cassette machines and small powered speakers. The feedback and clarinets frequencies interact in an intricate sonic dance - one highly reactive to Laura’s body. She dextrously uses toes to adjust levels and positions of the speakers. It’s almost as if she’s found a way to combine her love of mid-to-high frequencies and yoga.
Andrew Fedorovitch (Place Holder, Splinter Orchestra, Score Club) will be performing with Alexandra Spence and Peter Farrar!
