"We are at our most vulnerable, open and receptive when we are in

a state of confusion, when the ground beneath us seems to shift,

when the tools we use to grasp reality are taken from our hands.

Music is the only direct art,

a sonic tool that bypasses the cognitive process to enter the body.

No other medium has such immediate access to spirit and the mind.

This quintet explores this beautiful combination of opportunities,

to baffle and beguile.

We wanted to do something that seemed impossible.

This is our first trial."
