Julius Schwing is an improvising guitarist and composer from Bruny Island, Tasmania. Julius has performed in theatres, clubs and festivals in Australia, Europe, India, New Zealand, Canada and the USA with artists such as Scott Tinkler, Paul Capsis, Nick Haywood, Bae Il Dong, Aakash Mittal, Petra Haden, Christian Windfeld and many more. His work is deeply informed by a life lived on spectacular Bruny Island, with his surroundings slowly and osmotically
making their way into his art.

Julius Schwing is releasing "Wagtail", a new album of improvised solo acoustic guitar music recorded in his home studio on Bruny Island. "Wagtail" is a collection of 6 pieces taking inspiration from a life lived on a remote island.
