For our 2nd instalment of the new Jetsets series, we present stellar pianist, improviser and composer Alister Spence, preceded by the gorgeously crafted music of duo Another New World.

Alister Spence Solo

In 2020 Alister recorded his first solo piano album Whirlpool. This album documents what has become a fascination for him, following sounds and their connections freely on the piano without a particular style or end point in mind. Spence is planning a new solo piano recording in early 2023.

Another Green World

Another Green World is a Sydney based duo led by pianist, Lauren Tsamouras and features Harry Birch on double bass. The music is written to challenge the role of each instrument in a drum free setting. Another Green World navigates pulsatile, ostinato based compositions where the improvisation is informed by the architecture of each piece.
