We're back to our regular arvo slot - the first Grotto of the year -with a very special line up - local fav Mara and visiting artists Josten Myburgh and Skylar Sansome playing Antoine Beuger

Mara is a composer and curator based in Eora / Sydney. She plays the viola and collaborates with her laptop to create live performances and recorded pieces for film, dance, and gallery spaces. Informed by interactions and perspectives within environments, her work questions the coexistence and understanding between those who inhabit them.

Josten Myburgh is a saxophonist, composer and improviser based on Whadjuk Noongar boodja in Boorloo/Perth. He is tirelessly committed to the grassroots experimental music scene in Western Australia, being a founding member of record label Tone List and curator of the Audible Edge Festival. He has published work on Another Timbre, Edition Wandelweiser and Tone List.

Skylar Sansome (she/they) is a queer artist based on Jagera and Turrbal country in Meanjin/Brisbane. Her practice focusses on percussion improvisation, long polyrhythms, and film collage.
They will be playing a composition by Antoine Beuger "un lieu pour etre deux" (lit. "a place for being two"), on saxophone & gongs.
