JON WILL BE JOINED FROM NEWCASTLE BY THE WONDERFUL TROTH...
Troth is Mulubinba/Newcastle based duo, Amelia Besseny and Cooper Bowman. Their sound combines elements combed from the history of UK DIY pop, ambient exploration and improvisation, but is primarily based on the private dialogue between the two. Following a short Europe / UK tour in 2022, Troth closed the year performing at St Barnabas Church in Sydney (as part of Soft Centre) and MONA gallery in Tasmania. They have welcomed 2023 with a new LP on Gothenburg-based Mammas Mysteriska Jukebox, titled 'Forget The Curse' and have a CD of archival material on Gothenburg's Fordamning Arkiv due shortly. They will be joined at the People's Republic by Sydney saxophonist, Anna Langdon, who appears on Forget The Curse.
