100clicksWest continues its commitment to the best of new music in 2023 by bringing five exciting double bills to the Blue Mountains! These concerts once again feature an eclectic array of artists whose names many of you will be familiar with, and who are renowned for their innovative and genre-pushing exploration of sound, music, and performance.

Nicole Smede is a multi-disciplinary artist of Worimi and European descent, living and creating on Dharawal Country. Proud of her heritage, she works through language to reconnect to ancestry and culture using voice, song, sound and poetry to explore ideas around landscape, connectedness, and ancestry. A versatile performer with experience spanning diverse genres, Nicole has performed and recorded repertoire from classical, theatre, rock and contemporary music through to film and other media. Her voice has been heard on radio, award-winning film scores, and on the stages of Parliament House, City Recital Hall, Mona Foma Festival, and galleries and venues across Australia.
Anthea Cottee performs on a variety of instruments from modern, baroque and classical cello to viola da gamba, lirone, and basse de violon. She has has been a regular member of the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra, where she has appeared as a soloist on both baroque cello and viola da gamba since 1998. She performs as principal for Sydney Philharmonia and Pinchgut Opera, with the Orchestra of the Antipodes, including for their 2021 film A Delicate Fire. Highlights include touring with Circa as solo cellist for Il Ritorno, and the world premier of Gouttes d’un Sang Etranger by Felicity Wilcox for Vivid Sydney in 2014.

Since 2016, 100clicksWest has presented cutting edge-music in the Blue Mountains, in the home of artistic director and composer Felicity Wilcox, where beautiful natural acoustics set up an intimate listening space. These concerts feature exceptional performers and original new music on every bill. With valley views and a free glass of wine, each experience is unique and allows for audience members to mingle with each other and the artists.
