**JETSETS SPECIAL EDITION**
3 x solo piano sets with Lauren Tsamouras, Mark Isaacs and Novak Manojlovic!
Friends, we run these gigs on a tight budget with most of the proceeds going to our incredible artists. This means that due to our low income we can't tune our lovely old piano as much as we'd like. So, with the extremely generous help of three amazing pianists, we're raising funds to get more dosh in our kitty for more frequent piano tuning!
Please come along and consider giving a little extra to help the pianists we bring to Jetsets get the sweetest sounds out of our beautiful piano

Mark Isaacs
Alongside collaboration projects (trio, quintet, quartet, more recently duo with Loretta Palmeiro) solo piano has been an integral part of Mark’s jazz/improv output over the decades. Days after a solo piano show at The Ellington in Perth, Mark’s set tonight might be free improv or his reimagining of an unexpected standard like a Joni Mitchell tune. Or neither. Or both.

Novak Manojlovic
Novak Manojlovic is a pianist/composer/improvisor based in Sydney whose work describes a fascination with contrasts; new and old, acoustic and electronic, diatonic and atonal, abrasive and meditative. In navigating the friction between conflicting aesthetics across the breadth of his output, one can hear his efforts to move traditional composition and performance practice into a contemporary context through sonic manipulation, visual augmentation and harmonic iconoclasm. Here he presents a set of new works for solo piano influenced by various kinesthetic practices developed and explored at the piano.
