A powerhouse unit of rare intimacy and flexibility, connecting the entire spectrum of contemporary creative sound making with the fluid momentum of free jazz. 

Featuring:

Peter Farrar on saxophone and percussion...
a graduate of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music with a degree in Jazz Performance, known for his combination of dazzling technique and sublime tone and one of Australia’s most respected young saxophonists.
Peter has performed with leading Australian and international artists including Mike Nock, Dale Gorfinkel, Jim Denley, Amanda Stewart, Wadada Leo Smith and Cor Fuhler... “Peter Farrar on alto nearly stole the show with his solo... He has a tone reminiscent of Ornette Coleman...” Peter Wockner, Jazz and Beyond


Novak Manojlovic on piano... 
he currently leads HEKKA, Grown Ocean, Colourfields and PLACES PEOPLE, and also works with Microfiche, Earshift Orchestra, Wallace, Sam Gill’s Coursed Waters, Soft Attack and more.
In 2019 Novak was awarded the Freedman Jazz Fellowship.


Laurence Pike on drums...
has been operating across the electronic, rock and jazz music worlds for the better part of two decades with dozens of critically acclaimed releases to his name as part of forward-thinking groups such as PVT, Triosk and Szun Waves, as well as collaborations with legendary jazz pianist Mike Nock, Bill Callahan, Burnt Friedman, Sarah Blasko and avant-rock band Liars... "He creates a hyper-aware universe of constant, new, undefinable sound that only he could make." - The Quietus


and Clayton Thomas on double bass...
one of Australia's most celebrated musicians, founder of the NOWnow Festival, Splinter and Splitter Orchestras, a collaborator with Axel Doerner, Jon Rose, Phil Minton, Chris Abrahams, Will Guthrie and the list goes on.


In just six months, this group has become one of the bands to watch on the Australian jazz scene, developing a deep musical rapport that continues to push further with each concert.
