Lineup for next Wednesday’s Lazy Thinking Late, our weekly program of outer, experimental sounds from the universe. Ireland based Australian artists @robertcurgenven and Kat McDowall will be performing their totally unique and spellbinding audio visual ‘SPECTRES live’ show at Lazy Thinking in our cupboard for their only East cost show.
 
It’s a quite extraordinary audio visual performance incorporating incredibly complex and intuitive synchronisation between its musical and lighting/visual components, described by Rob and Kat as ‘live lighting driven by the sound, a 1:1 relationship between sound and lighting: architectural lights driven directly by the sound create a head-wrecking synaesthetic experience with the spontaneous production of colours and patterns which may or may not be there.

A group experience for the audience, overtones and strong sub-bass come together to create polyrhythmic phasing in light and sound that collapse depth perception and bring your whole body and the surrounding room into a face-melting physical constellation.
 
Past performances of the work have taken place at Biuro Dzwieku Katowice (Poland) 30 Sept 2022, Pawilon Poznan (Poland) 17 Sept 2022, Wolskie Centrum Kultury, Warsaw (Poland) 16 Sept 2022, Control Room Festival, Gdansk (Poland) - 3 Sept 2022 and iii (Den Haag, Netherlands) - 24 June 2022 and Krasovka (Prague, Czech Republic) - 22 May 2022.
 
Joining Robert and and Kat on the bill is the peerless and no less awesome @m.a.c.m.a.c.m.a.c , one of the great contemporary voices in outer, electronic, minimal electroacoustic, visionary ambient and multiple other wordy crosshairs of the most interesting end of the contemporary experimental/outer music world.
