Set 1: Dahkkloud - improvised soundscapes blending synths and acoustic instruments.
The Dahkkloud ensemble is run by jazz musician and synth-lord James Williams, and is an improvised music ensemble that blends the world of electronic art music with acoustic instruments. The ensemble features double bassist Henry Hall and saxophonist Max Leggott. The group combines their jazz improvised sensibilities with more cinematic and soundscape aesthetics. A dark world of sound and shadows.

Set 2: Guitar Club feat. Hinano Fujisaki - exploring the musical personalities of three unique players and composers in an unconventional instrumental grouping.
In this duo, Hamburger Guitarist Pouya Abdi meets Australian Guitarist and Composer Danica Hobden in a special concert featuring Sydney saxophonist and composer Hinano Fujisaki.
With mutual interest in original compositions and great curiosity for sound aesthetics, the duo explores arranging for two guitars in a way that still expresses the drive of a rhythm section with multiple voices and melodies.
Duo “Guitar Club” has already established a name for themselves in Germany, playing in various jazz clubs as well as more unusual venues such as inside the Oskar-Lühning-Telekop at the Hamburg Observatory, and St. Jacobi Church, home to the largest Baroque Organ in Northern Europe.
This exciting collaboration will be a chance to feature Hinano’s unique playing style and compositions. She was recently awarded the Judy Bailey Composition Award for 2024, and is an active member of the Australian jazz community as a band leader and side person.
Guitar Club stands for the joy of music and an open dialogue on two instruments that may look similar but have different stories to tell.
