Eora-based pianist Lauren Tsamouras and Muloobinba-based trumpeter Tom Avgenicos reimagine the music of legendary Australian/New Zealand jazz pianist and composer Judy Bailey.
With Bailey no longer actively performing or teaching, this project aims to preserve and revitalise her legacy through contemporary rearrangements, reinterpretations, and electroacoustic adaptations of her work. A mentor and inspiration to generations of Australian musicians, Bailey’s enduring influence is central to the creative ecosystem of the Australian jazz community, and this project ensures her remarkable contributions continue to thrive.

Spat

'Spat' is Aidan Wong, Eric Tsai and Alex Tucker. They design music that combines structured improvisation, compositional events and disguised repertoire. They use the combination of saxophone, guitar/pedals and drum set. Spat likes to play very loud and very soft.
