Directed by acclaimed Australian filmmaker Amiel Courtin-Wilson (Bastardy), The Silent Eye captures a freeform collaboration between two ageing legends: 72-year-old dancer Min Tanaka and 88-year-old free- jazz pianist Cecil Taylor. Beautifully shot in Taylor’s home over three days, the film is a highly intimate, impressionistic portrait of the unspoken rapport between two masters of their form who have been collaborating for over thirty years. Part jam session, part avant-garde experiment, it’s a thrilling visual and audio experience.
Director Amiel Courtin-Wilson will be in attendance to hold a Q&A after the screening.
