This event is held on Wangal land. We acknowledge the Wangal people of the Eora nation as the traditional owners of this land and sovereignty was never ceded. This always was and will be Aboriginal land.

Baptism awakens anew, re-emerging from the primordial mud. They bring forth songs of the water, spirits of the sea.

Baptism last performed at Milk beach in January 2020. An unknown spectator and Laneway Festival employee filmed it, sent it to brown cardigan and uploaded it to tiktok and got 1.1 million views. We’ve been living off the unexpected fame all year and are excited to share new music with our newfound universal fanbase.
